Boring Wall Color? How to make it Work + ALL MODERN Catalog Feature!

Add artwork - PS.My Cactus Artwork is featured in this All Modern Spring Catalog 2017!
Typically when you buy or rent a new place, the walls are either beige or white. This is because not all colors appeal to everyone, so we just end up plopping down some furniture and the room ends up looking extremely boring.
I've come up with a few ways to make sure this doesn't happen to you:

Tip #1 Add Artwork
Like in the image above, artwork definitely helps to play up a boring wall. Whether it's a ton of art pieces that work well together to create the ultimate gallery wall, or just one or two large pieces, either way...ART WORKS :) PS.My Cactus Artwork is featured in the All Modern Spring 2017 Catalog above!

Tip #2 Try a colorful sofa
Like in the image above, a colorful sofa is a great way to change the dynamic of a living room if the walls a pretty plain. Notice if we replaced that blue sofa with a beige one how the room would suddenly have a different vibe? The best way to go is choose a color you've always liked and make that the main focus. Then use complimentary colors to create balance in the room.

Tip #3 Combine patterns and colors
I know, I know...this seems like a job for a designer. But when your budget is tight and you can't afford one the best way to go is to flip through old home magazines, or websites, and see which patterns work well together. This should give you some direction on how to pair multiple patterns to create that layered look that designers love.
