Bold & The Caribbean

So I'm an island girl at heart, coming from Trinidad & Tobago, I literally fall in love with gorgeous Caribbean design. One of my other loves is use of color, and I seem to really be fond of red lately. What do you say for red as a Summer color --> yay or nay? 

I love scoping the design scene on Lonny.com and found these gorgeous rooms designed by Alessandra Branca. My fave is the guest bedroom; I love the color red with the touches of neutral. All the different patterns seem to standout, yet blend so well which is a great job on the part of the designer. Can't wait to see some of my textiles in a gorgeous setting like this *fingers crossed*
